From Our Nest to the World

Little Owls began with a simple dream: to create a place where children can grow curious, creative, and confident. Our journey started over a decade ago when we moved from Taiwan to the U.S., bringing with us a deep love for education and cultural exchange. From Michigan to sunny San Diego, we taught Mandarin and connected with diverse communities, learning firsthand how language and global awareness shape young minds.

As parents raising two boys on our own, we made music, art, sports, and science part of everyday life. We believe learning should feel like discovery, not just memorization. With a background in tech, Zing understands how fast AI is changing the world—and why kids need future-ready skills. Fuyen, with a Master’s in Family Education, years as a psychiatric social worker, and experience as a sign language interpreter, brings empathy and creativity to every interaction.

Now settled in the peaceful Renton Highlands, we’ve built a home where children can thrive. Little Owls blends English–Mandarin immersion with hands-on STEAM learning, giving kids the tools to explore, imagine, and soar.
